We tried speaking to those few people who still do – and got a few people who don’t back into the inky circle.
When you’re signing a cheque, it’s all the weightier when you’re doing it with a writing instrument that is as precious as the six zeros you’re signing away… Fryed created the entire displays and communication for WP’s Classic Pen Campaign
You can buy your mother flowers, clothes and holidays. But for the old man, if it’s not whisky, it could be an engraved (and expensive!) pen to show him how much he means to you. Don’t expect him to shed a tear when he gets it – but do look forward to the occasional letter from him – these gifts come with self-serving interests!
Love letters you keep. But love emails? Come on!
There’s something charming about that unexpected letter from someone close arriving in your postbox.
And we created a campaign that gets people writing away. At stores. At airports. At restaurants. We had postboxes so people could write letters and have them posted pronto.
Quite a few notes winged their way across the globe, from our mailboxes. Not inboxes.
#STARTSOMETHINGNEW Do something old: jot down ideas on a pad. Scribble the start to a story. This campaign was all about getting people to spark off an idea and follow it through. Whether it was writing a script on a flight, a book in the loo, or just about writing thoughts in a dairy. Funny how just putting pen to paper can create a whole new train of creative thought.
